Setting the record straight
Thank you to Christopher for the heads up. I have had a lot of trouble with impostor Web sites and have already had a few on MySpace that had to be taken down. I have absolutely no problem with people posting sites about me and many of them are pretty cool.
However, when people impersonate me it gets a little tough. First, most of the information they put out is incorrect. Second, and much worse, is that young kids are writing to these people thinking they are me. I had one site that was answering gymnastics questions from little girls, coaches, etc. as me!! Not only is that wrong, it’s also very dangerous. So we take those types of things pretty seriously. So thank you again for the heads up.

Looks like they finally took down that profile! I’ve had my suspicions about it for a while, ie no blogs, pics I’m sure anyone can find online, etc. It was almost as if he/she was trying their best to stay under the radar. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything stopping this person from making more profiles, unless the IP address is blacklisted somehow! Anyway enough about that, it’s done and gone so happy blogging!

I was the person that had the myspace as Shannon.
I want it known that I never answered a single pm that was sent to me as you or anyone else. I only made the my space to celebrate your gymnastics career.
I want it known that I NEVER answered a single pm. That is when Chris started sending me threatning pm’s because I refused to answer him. He also wrote that you two were friends and that he was sorry for what he did to you. Doesn’t sound at all on this blog like he did in the PM’s. When he wrote to me he said you were friends.
Anyway I am sorry I used your name and I will make sure I never bother you again. As wrong as I was for doing the my space I only had good intentions. I would bewhere of Chris though because he has mental issues.
