Happy new year!
Lately I’ve been crazed with holiday parties and last-minute shopping just like everyone else. Over the last couple of days it’s been nice to slow down a bit and take a breath before beginning the new year.
We’ve decided to ring in the new year with a small dinner party for close friends and watch the fireworks in downtown JAX. It’s a wonderful time of year for reflection and being thankful for all that we have. Soon I’ll be headed to Afghanistan for a USO trip to visit the troops. I am so excited for the opportunity to give back in such a special way and especially during one of the more difficult times of the year to be away from family. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to blog from there but I’m planning to keep a diary and take lots of photos to share. I hope you all have a safe and happy new year!!!

It’s great you are going to visit the troops to give them your support but please be carefull and come back savely from Afghanistan!

If they let you do it, I’d love to see a pic of you firing one of their high powered semi - automatic weapons! It’d be one of the best, “Well there’s something you don’t see everyday!” kinda kodak moments for sure! lol. Have a safe trip!
