Sweet dude! He did it.

Bode is now the greatest American that ever lived, — well, that’s the jibe he’s getting from all the Team America guys. Bode is very pleased with his accomplishment, but his focus is on the next event. He is training slalom today, normally his day off, working for another win in Schladming tomorrow.

The weekend was sweet. Bode’s downhill run was crazy! At one point, he shot up onto the fence for a distance of approximately 50 feet and at a speed of 70 mph. That would take most racers out, but not Bode. He knew that it cost him time so he lowered his head, got pissed, and really dropped the hammer. It was not enough to win the downhill but enough to take the combined.

The next few weeks will be exciting. There is a little less pressure and a ton of speed events coming up. Bode is skiing friggin’ awesome, it’s tight at the top of the overall title, so tune in for the action.
