This is a big rivalry week. We like to compete against Florida. I had some of my best dual meets ever against Florida. Today was this years Georgia-Florida dual meet. They swam long course. Unfortunately, Florida’s men beat Georgia’s but the Georgia women won. There were lots of good swims. I was most impressed with Sebastian Rouault. He is one of the captains and a senior. He swam the 800 and 200 free back to back and won them both. Later in the meet he won the 400 free.

This Saturday is the Georgia-Florida football game in Jacksonville, FL. The game is always played at the “neutral” location of Jacksonville, rather than in Athens or Gainesville because so many people from each school want to attend. In most people’s opinion Jacksonville isn’t quite a neutral location though because it is much closer to UF’s campus than UGA’s. I just hope that we perform better this year than in recent years. Florida has really been taking it to us lately.

I have been practicing really well this week. I’m starting to get more consistent throughout the week. That is a good thing because I get really annoyed when I don’t have a good practice. I have really been stretching a lot and eating right this week and it has helped me to train well. Now I’m going to try to finish the week as well as I started it.
