Tomorrow, I leave for the Missouri Grand Prix meet. The meet is going to be pretty exciting. Being an Olympic year, any meet where lots of the best swimmers in the country go head to head is bound to be fun. There are several U.S. Olympians attending the meet and some international stars as well. What I am going to be looking forward to less is the cold weather. It has been warm in Athens for the last couple days and it is definitely going to be pretty chilly. The high on Friday doesn’t get up to 30 degrees.

Another thing to look forward to at the meet is the next generation of swimsuit technology. This is the first meet that both Speedo and TYR have athletes wearing the suit that they will put athletes in at the Olympics. I am definitely excited to try the TYR suit called the Tracer Rise. I have friends that will be trying out the Speedo LZR so I will be anxious to compare notes with them. I have no doubt that the Speedo swimmers will be very envious of our new suit. The Tracer Rise will be a definite highlight of the trip to Missouri for me.

For now, it is time to get some packing done so I can be ready to head to the cold.
