Healing some injuries and making a list

There hasn’t been much going on with me lately.  I’m happy to report that I have gotten my injuries pretty much under control.  I think that I am just going to have to accept that I’m not as young as I used to be and that I have to be a little more active in keeping myself healthy.  That means going to get massages once every week or so (this sounds nice but it is NOT a relaxing experience – it’s pretty painful), doing a few more core exercises, and maybe seeing a physical therapist.

One thing I have been doing a lot of is Christmas shopping, both online and around town.  I think that I am only going to be able to give a few experience gifts this year.  Hopefully, in years to come, I will be able to give those types of gifts more often.  I’ll spill the beans about the cool things/experiences that I found for people after Christmas.  Right now, they might be the only people reading this blog so I should keep it a secret.

You may be wondering what is on my Christmas list this year.  Well, it took a lot of thought, but I think that it is pretty good.

A new Mac laptop – my parents offered to get me one.  Mine has had a hard life and now, every time I open it up, I hold my breath during the 30 seconds to 2 minutes where the only thing that is moving is the spinning wheel of death and hope that it is going to work.

An iphone – the thing nobody needs but everyone wants.

One of those inflatable exercise balls – you know, like the one that Dwight from The Office was sitting on at his desk until Jim popped it with his scissors.  Delightful.

A foam roller – you roll on it and it massages your muscles.  Or you hit people with it when you are mad.

A whistling teakettle

The new Pride and Prejudice DVD – you can only watch the old one so many times in a week (three seems to be my ceiling).

The DVDs of the She-Ra: Princess of Power and Adventures of the Gummi Bears cartoons – I saw them at Best Buy the other day and I was so excited!  I loved those cartoons when I was a kid!  I can even sing you the Gummi Bear song “Gummi Bears, bouncing here and there and everywhere, high adventure that’s beyond compare, they are the Gummi Bears!”  It goes on but I will spare you.
