Heading out to the OTC

The trip did not started off well. My flight was delayed 3 and a half hours and I am probably the world’s worst waiter. Seriously, patience is not one of my virtues.
The other thing that is adding to my rage right now is my hair. I got it cut the day after I got back from Missouri and the hair cut guy totally ignored me when I said I didn’t want a huge chunk out of the front. Now I have semi-bangs, which refuse to stay out of my right eye. I cannot do anything without hair distorting my vision and tickling my face. It isn’t even long enough to go behind my ear. I had to resort to putting it up in a half ponytail in order to eat my vegi tempura in the airport.
Fortunately, things got a lot better when we finally got going. We had a 100 mile per hour tail wind so the flight was fast. Then, when I landed, the OTC (Olympic Training Center) driver was there to meet me with several other athletes who were all ready to head out.
I had a fun dinner with Whitney and Adam (you can see just how tall he is in the pic – he took the photo) who train out of Arizona and Sam who is coming to Stanford next year. I think that it is going to be a fun trip (although Whit told me that we are at least 5 years older than the next youngest girls … and I am 3 years older than she is!).
