Visiting Charlotte
Greg and I are spending the next little while in Charlotte, NC. I’m training here with MAC for nine days while my team is off competing in Ohio. But before we left the Bay Area, we managed to get a few fun outings in.
On Saturday, Greg and I drove up to the city and visited with Justin and Kelty. They are fostering two adorable new puppies, and we wanted to make sure that we had a chance to play with them while they were still little. Unsurprisingly, Justin and Kelty have fallen in love with them, so now they are going to keep one and Justin’s brother is going to take the other.
The puppies, Frog and Toad, haven’t gotten their Parvo virus shots yet, so I got to carry Toad and then Frog all around the city. They were super cute. Everyone loves a puppy. I felt like we were leading a parade.
On Sunday, Greg and I put together some last-minute things for our flight and then headed up to Lacey and Andrew’s to play golf. Overall, I think that I did better than last time, but I have to say five balls in the mini lake is not so good. Last time, I made it over in one shot. It was still fun though. And I wasn’t too worried about being terrible. I think that my swing was actually better because I wanted to be careful with my shoulder so I wasn’t trying to swing very hard.
Now we are just hanging out with Greg’s cousins in Charlotte. It is actually pretty fun, and I have the added benefit of having people to train with!
