German food makes me really full

Things have been pretty quiet around here for the last little while. I’ve had a few social events to go to but haven’t done anything too intense. Swimming has been good and I’ve just been working on stroke and speed with a little aerobic thrown in. I went 1:07 in a slightly broken LC 100, which is pretty good for me since I don’t usually approach race speed in practice, especially without a Fastskin or a LZR on.

Greg and I attended Lacey’s birthday dinner last weekend in the city. It was at a German place in the City called Suppenkuche. German food makes me full in about 3 bites but fortunately, Greg was there and he was in one of his eating moods.

I swear, he is like a snake. Most of the time, he just eats food because I’ve cooked enough for two people and it is right there in front of him. But every once in a while he will get into an eating mood and eat close to his own weight in food. Lacey’s birthday dinner was one of those nights. He ate all his food, most of mine, and then decided that he needed toast and peanut butter afterwards.

The two of us also attended Toad’s (of Frog and Toad the puppies) goodbye party at Kelty and Justin’s. Toad wasn’t actually leaving right then, but he will when Justin’s brother comes to get him.

This was actually the same night as a mafia themed party that Greg and I went to with the team. The girls were putting it on and making everyone and their dates dinner. I’m pretty sure that they just chose the mafia theme so that they could dress up and look hot but I’m always fine with an excuse to dress up.

It was a little too dressy for Toad’s goodbye party though so I had to change in the car on the way up to the city. Fortunately, I am not too bad at the car change. Maybe I am terrible at deck changing but I think that I managed to get into all of my other clothes without exposing myself to anyone.
