You know you have been abroad for waaay too long:

• When you are looking the wrong way to cross the street because you don’t know which side of the street they drive on in the country you are in.
• When telling the time in military time comes naturally to you.
• When you catch yourself answering questions in other languages — no worry that it is not the language of the people you are speaking to — you just know English isn’t what you’re supposed to be speaking.
• When you take a pack of Easy-Mac, put it in a tea maker (specifically made for tea) and cook it. Then you mix it with a pack of tuna for a nice tuna nuna casserole.
• Your bathroom sink has three uses …
  Sink: for tooth brushing
  Dishwasher: to wash the tuna casserole dish
  Washing machine: for your underwear and any other item you just can’t stand to put on again in its current condition.

I have begun the countdown to my completion of the season. Eight more sleeps, and I will be back in America and free to do as I please for one whole month.
